Doctor Who: A Town Called Mercy - Appreciation Index

Doctor Who Series 7, Episode 3: A Town Called Mercy had an AI (Appreciation Index) score of 85.

As always, the score is a measure of how much the audience enjoyed the episode. It is based of a survey of 5000 people. The score of 85 is slightly lower than the first two episodes of Series 7, but still puts the episode into the excellent category.

The highest scorer on the two main channels was Casualty, with a score of 88, while highest scorer of the day was Coast on BBC Two with 90.

Based on overnight figures, Doctor Who was pushed down to 16th place for the week because the new series of Downton Abbey had an overnight rating of 9.0 million on Sunday night and Sunday's edition of The X Factor also had a large overnight viewing figure.
