Doctor Who: Series 7 Reccuring Themes (Part 1)

This article is a little bit different from others. It is spilt into 5 parts, each with a different reccuring theme that we will look at. Christmas, Light bulbs, Eggs, Memory and Explosions. So without further ado...

CHRISTMAS!

Asylum of the Daleks:
AMY: What do we do?
DOCTOR: Make them remember you. Well, come on then. You've got me. What are you waiting for? At long last, it's Christmas! Here I am.
(The Doctor closes his eyes tight, expecting to die. The organic Dalek speaks.)
DALEK PM: Save us. You will save us.

Dinosaurs on a Spaceship:
BRIAN: Of course. What sort of man doesn't carry a trowel? Put it on your Christmas list.
RORY: Dad, I'm thirty one. I don't have a Christmas list any more.
DOCTOR: I do!

A Town Called Mercy:
DOCTOR: Anachronistic electricity, Keep Out signs, aggressive stares. Has someone been peeking at my Christmas list?
AMY: Doctor.
(He starts chewing on a toothpick and walks on.)

The Power of Three:
Rather than speech this time the Power of Three has a scene in the hospital that is set at Christmas!

What do you think of this reccuring theme? Do you think it means something or was just put in the scripts of Series 7 by coincidence?
