Doctor Who Dalek Designer Ray Cusick Dies, Aged 84
It is with the deepest regret that The Gallifrey Times have to report that the man who designed the Daleks, Ray Cusick, has died aged 84 after a short illness.
His daughter, Claire Heawood, confirmed that he died of a heart failure in his sleep on Thursday.
As you will know, The Daleks have become a iconic monster in Doctor Who and Ray will be greatly missed.
He leaves two daughters and seven grandchildren. Our thoughts are with Ray's family and friends at the difficult time.
