The creative voice behind some of the biggest Doctor Who creatures: The Daleks, The Cybermen & The Judoon, Nicholas Briggs has revealed that he is to voice the Ice Warriors in the 9th episode of Series 7, rumoured to be called The Cold War.The story has been written by Doctor Who veteran Mark Gatiss. His previous credits include: The Unquite Dead, The Idiots Lantern, Victory of the Daleks & Night Terrors. Gatiss is also currently writing the docudrama about the creation of Doctor Who.
Briggs previously voiced the Ice Warriors in the Big Finish Audio Dramas: Frozen Time, The Bride of Peladon, The Judgement of Isskar, Deimos & The Resurrection of Mars. So it's fair to say that Nick has had his fair share of Ice Warrior action, his role as the Ice Warrior should not be disappointing!
We're expecting the episode to air on the 13th April 2013.
