The consolidated viewing figures for episode seven of Doctor Who, The Rings of Akhaten, have been announced.
The episode had 7.45 million viewers after a week of recordings - a rise of just under 2 million of the overnight figure of 5.5 million. That's 950k down on The Bells of Saint John - but expect the figure to be eclipsed by Cold War when the viewing figures are released next Sunday.
The figure does not include those watching on iPlayer - as usual, Doctor Who was number one on iPlayer for 48 hours after the episode.
The episode's placing in the weekly figures will be released tomorrow.
