Doctor Who: The Rings of Akhaten Overnight Viewing Figures

The overnight viewing figures for The Rings of Akhaten show that it had an audience of 5.5 million viewers, which makes up 28.8% of the TV audience overall.

This makes Doctor Who the third most viewed program of the day, with the first and second being Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway and The Voice with 7.3 million views and 6.4 million views respectively. The time slot, however, was won by Doctor Who, with You've Been Framed Rides Again! managing to get 3.4 million viewers.

Finalised ratings will be released next week, which should see the show's rating increase as viewers who timeshift it will be added in.
