Matt Smith Thinks Doctor Who Storylines Should Challenge Viewers

Eleventh Doctor Matt Smith told the Radio Times that he's always believed that viewers of Doctor Who have a higher capability to follow complicated stories than most people think.
"Children are always going to engage with the story in a slightly different way to adults, but I tell you this, I bet you they pay more attention,
"What are we meant to do? Just dumb everything down? The science is mad and complicated and brilliant. It's Doctor Who!
"If it's too easy, what's the point? I think we have to give children more credit."
Smith continues his run as the Doctor in The Rings of Akhaten, which airs on Saturday 6th March in the UK.
