Doctor Who: The Crimson Horror - Overnight Viewing Figures

The 'overnight' ratings were 4.61m for last night's episode, or just over 25% of the total audience.

Programmes to gain bigger viewing figures were Britain's Got Talent, The Voice and Casualty.

The final rating figures are invariably a lot higher, reflecting trends in modern TV viewing, with many people choosing to record the programme and watch it later, or to catch up with it on BBC iPlayer. The post-2005 incarnation of Doctor Who has usually been screened in the spring and summer, with ratings falling a little as the weather improves (and yesterday was the first day of a Bank Holiday weekend).
