Doctor Who: 50th Anniversary Collection Soundtrack Nominated for Award

The company Silva Screen have been nominated for a International Film Music Critics Association Award for their work on the astonishing CD - Doctor Who: The 50th Anniversary Collection, which features 129 tracks through 5 incredible decades of Doctor Who music. 

Composers of the likes of Tristram Cary, Brian Hodgson, Dudley Simpson, Geoffrey Burgon, Paddy Kingsland, Roger Limb, Malcolm Clarke, Keff McCulloch, Dominic Glynn, John Debney, Mark Ayres and Murray Gold (our current composer) are featured.


The nomination is for  Best Archival Release of an Existing Score – Compilation and the winner will be revealed on Thursday 20th February on the 10th Anniversary of IFMCA Awards.

However, the collection that revolved around our favourite programme has some strong competition from many other great soundtracks and Collections. The Lethal Weapon Soundtrack, Michel Legrand AnthologyVarèse Sarabande: A 35th Anniversary Celebration and The X Files: Volume Two, are all also under nomination for the award.

Again, the awards are being held on the 20th February 2014, and we will be sure to keep you up to date on the results.
