Doctor Who Series 8 New Villain: Who is Ms Delphox?

Series 8 is getting more and more exciting every week. Recently,  Samuel Anderson was casted as recurring character, Danny Pink and now Keeley Hawes has been announced as a new villain in Peter Capaldi's first Series as The Doctor.

Hawes is playing the character of Ms Delphox. Little is known about the new character, however if she's anything like Madame Kovarian, then we're sure she will become a great asset to the cast of Doctor Who. Although we have little information on Delphox, she has been described as "a powerful out of this world character with a dark secret"
Furthermore, the actress herself spoke upon her casting : "I am delighted to join Doctor Who and to be working with this incredible team. Ms Delphox is a great character and someone I've had a lot of fun playing."
Keeley Hawes has previously played parts in Ashes to Ashes and Spooks, both BBC Dramas and this is her first time appearing on Doctor Who.

The episode is still hidden in secrets, but we do know the story is written by Steve Thompson and directed by Douglas Mackinnon, who has previously worked in Line of Duty and Doctor Who (directing both The Curse of the Black Spot and Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS). The episode sees the twelfth Doctor and his companion, Clara Oswald (Jenna Coleman) meet new character, Ms Delphox when they arrive "on a strange and puzzling planet".

Steven Moffat also commented on the arrival of Ms Delphox saying : "Anyone watching the amazing Line Of Duty will know that Keeley Hawes is having one hell of year and now it's about to get even better as she achieves the greatest villainy yet attempted on Doctor Who: she plays a banker."
The episode will air in Peter Capaldi's Premiere Series in Autumn.
