Baker on Doctor Who's Female Fans

In an interview with RCNTV, Sixth Doctor actor  Colin Baker explained that he believed that the show’s recent female following due to Matt Smith and David Tennant, the two most recent incarnations of the Time Lord.

Colin said he is hopeful about the casting of Peter Capaldi as the Twelfth Doctor, as the show needs that “older man” back, but he doesn’t know what that might mean for the cadre of young girls who have flocked to Doctor Who in recent years.

Colin Baker played the Doctor from 1984 to 1986. The new series begins in August.
