Doctor Who: Wibbly Wobbly Timey Wimey Stuff

TARDIS stands for "Time and Relative Dimensions in Space." But what exactly does that mean? The subject of relativity can riddle the mind and befuddle the brain in some instances.

This does not have to remain true anymore, for there is a paper, aimed towards an educated audience, that explains all the science lingo that we hear on Doctor Who. The Blue Box White Paper is written by two physicists, Doctor Benjamin K. Tippett and Doctor David Tsang.

This paper is an explanation of Ben and Dave’s TARDIS time machine, written for for those who are interested in time travel, but have no technical knowledge of Einstein’s Theory of General Relativity.

The white paper uses numerous ideas and theories that intertwine and appear on the show of Doctor Who. It breaks and simplifies these ideas down, making them easier to understand and wrap our minds around. To coincide with the text in a manner of greater understanding, there are humorous and constructive images to provide a visual aide on time and space and how the two connect and work together.

After reading this paper, one can be sure to develop a greater knowledge, comprehension, and explanation of the scientific tongue the Doctor possesses.
