For all fans out there of the eighth Doctor, Paul McGann has some rather disheartening news. In an interview with Flicks and the City he says:
“We have a new Doctor now. Capaldi's begun his tenure...he should be given a clear run without talk of me or anyone else.” and that if it did happen it would "have to be to fulfill a function...so people can look at the story and go 'oh I see! I get it now, how this fits in with this.'"Even though he enjoyed his short return in Night of the Doctor, he doesn't think there will be much more of the eighth Doctor; although he wouldn't mind coming back, as he puts it, "Five minutes every 15 years or something."
