The Appreciation Index or AI is a measure of how much the audience enjoyed the programme. The score, out of a hundred, is compiled by a specially selected panel of around 5,000 people who go online and rate and comment on programmes.
Doctor Who faired higher with women and within the 16-34 age group. X Factor, Strictly Come Dancing and Downton Abbey topped the ratings, with Doctor Who currently in 23rd place for the week. The final figures will be published next week
The Sunday repeat on BBC Three had an overnight estimate of 0.20 million viewers, taking a 0.8% share of the audience.
