Listen Nominated For Hugo Award

The Doctor Who episode Listen, first broadcast by the BBC last Autumn, has now gained a nomination for the 2015 Hugo Awards.

The Award category is for Best Dramatic Presentation, Short Form.

Listen, written by Steven Moffat and directed by Douglas Mackinnon, joins four other contenders for the prize, these being:
  • Game of Thrones: “The Mountain and the Viper”, written by David Benioff & D. B. Weiss, directed by Alex Graves
  • Grimm: “Once We Were Gods”, written by Alan DiFiore, directed by Steven DePaul
  • Orphan Black: “By Means Which Have Never Yet Been Tried”, ” written by Graham Manson, directed by John Fawcett
  • The Flash: “Pilot” story by Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg & Geoff Johns, directed by David Nutter

Game Of Thrones has seen success in this category for the previous two years, but Doctor Who episodes have previously won 6 times, so let's hope Listen will be victorious come the 22nd of August at the 2015 Worldcon, when the winner of the Hugo Award will be revealed.
