Doctor Who: Neve McIntosh On Potential Paternoster Spin-Off

Neve McIntosh, who plays Madame Vastra periodically on the show, has spoken about the much-discussed possibility of a spin-off for the Paternoster Gang. The Paternoster Gang, composed of Madame Vastra (McIntosh), Jenny Flint (Catrin Stewart), and Strax (Dan Starkey), quickly became a fan favorite after their first appearance in 2011's "A Good Man Goes to War," but especially after their more central role in 2012's Christmas special, "The Snowmen." Madame Vastra and Jenny Flint, a married couple, were the subject of some controversy following series 8's opener "Deep Breath."

McIntosh said of the possibility of a spin-off for the Paternoster Gang,
“If it happened, I would love it. Or a one-off special. Or go straight for a movie! I would love to do something with it.

I think ‘The Crimson Horror,’ it was like someone wrote me my own Basil Rathbone adventure, sort of Sherlock Holmes type thing, and I was just like ‘wow. I want more of this.’ I’m being greedy!

So we’ll see, I don’t know. I think I need to corner Mr. Steven Moffat and plead with him. But we’ll see what happens, you never know.”
Although it doesn't seem that a spin-off for the Paternoster Gang is in the works right now, would you watch a series starring Vastra, Jenny, and Strax? Tell us below!
