Great News For American Doctor Who Viewers

Following the disappointment that Netflix had restructured their services and were no longer going to be making Doctor Who episodes (Series 1 to Series 8) available for U.S viewers, there has been a major new development and Doctor Who fans in the United States will now be able to access these Series via the popular Amazon service Amazon Prime Video. The first 8 Series spanning Ninth Doctor Christopher Eccleston to Twelfth Doctor Peter Capaldi will be available from 27th March 2016. The announcement was made jointly by both Amazon and BBC Worldwide North America.

The most recent Series 9 will be added along with 2015's Christmas Special The Husbands of River Song sometime in the Autumn. Existing Amazon Prime members will be able to enjoy this new range at no extra cost.

BBC Worldwide had also announced a deal in February with Canada's CraveTv to provide Doctor Who episodes to viewers in Canada in a similar way - Smiles all round!
