Doctor Who: Multi-Master Series 10 Finale Image Revealed

The BBC has released a new image for the Doctor Who Series 10 finale, which sees Missy (Michelle Gomez) and the Master (John Simm) together for the first time.

Simm's incarnation of the Master, whose return to the show was announced at the beginning of this series, was last seen in the 2010 New Year's Day episode The End of Time: Part Two, the conclusion of a two-part special which led to the regeneration of David Tennant's Tenth Doctor.

This year's two-part series finale, World Enough and Time/The Doctor Falls, will see the Master come face-to-face with Missy, his later regeneration, and battle the Twelfth Doctor (Peter Capaldi). The episodes will also see the return of the Mondasian Cybermen to the show after over 50 years, plus Bill Potts (Pearl Mackie) and Nardole (Matt Lucas) in an epic adventure which will change Doctor Who forever.

The new image marks the first televised multi-Master story in Doctor Who's history, putting a chilling spin on the iconic image which accompanied the show's 50th anniversary special, The Day of the Doctor:

The Series 10 two-part finale begins next weekend with World Enough and Time, which will air on Saturday 24th June at 6:45pm on BBC One. Series 10 of Doctor Who will conclude the following week on Saturday 1st July with The Doctor Falls, an extended hour-long episode.
