The Doctor Stays: BBC Will Not Move Welsh Made Dramas

It was revealed earlier this week that the BBC were opening up production of their shows, such as Doctor Who, to other TV channels such as ITV. Director General Tony Hall had this to say of the possibility of ITV making Doctor Who:
"Today’s proposals won’t affect our commitment to programming from across the UK. The Welsh drama village has been an incredible success and provides some of our most loved dramas – not only will this continue but the proposals would give BBC Wales the opportunity to work [for] more customers than just the BBC."
This means that shows made in BBC's Roath Lock Studios (Doctor Who is the flagship show for Roath Lock) should be safe - so no ITV-made Doctor Who any time soon!
